Are you an artist interested in showing your work at a First Friday Artwalk Location?

The best, most direct way to become a featured artist at an Artwalk location is to "scope out" the participating businesses during the artwalk over a couple of months. Which locations are showing work that interests you? Which locations feature work that would be in the same price range as your work? Then, make an appointment to talk to the people who work there. Be prepared to show them samples of your work.They are all interested in promoting art and artists, and finding new artists is always welcome.

Are you interested in becoming a First Friday Artwalk Location?

We began First Fridays Artwalk five years ago to promote visual art awareness in our community and provide a venue for showcasing emerging and established artists. It has grown tremendously and today not only includes art gallery and artist studios, but also, restaurants, bars, corporate offices, retail stores and schools! The arts community has flourished through this event and it has been proven that the arts are an important piece in making Topeka a lively and vibrant place to live and to do business.

With this growth, ARTSConnect finds the need to establish some guidelines for participation to continue to offer you this valuable marketing tool. We are pleased to offer you three types of Participant Memberships.

Level One: Cost: Free. Includes – online marketing, inclusion on Artwalk Map, ARTSConnect enews, First Friday Facebook page listing and in the ARTSConnect press information sent to the Topeka Capital-Journal.

Level Two: Cost: $50/quarter Includes – all of the above PLUS inclusion in seveneightfive magazine and Topeka magazine, advertising, and a featured selection on First Friday Facebook updates.

Level Three: Cost: $100/month. Includes – all of the above PLUS Topeka Capital- Journal Advertising, featured location on the ARTSConnect website with images, 2 tickets to THE ARTY AWARDS, 2 VIP tickets to THE 2011 ARTY PARTY, and recognition as a Featured First Friday location at ARTSConnect events.
