Sarah Fizell
Executive Director

Sarah has been the executive director of ArtsConnect since 2012. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications studies and is a ceramic artist. Her career has included issue-based advocacy on a variety of issues, political organizing and public relations. Bridget Elmer
Development Coordinator

Bridget is a socially engaged artist, educator, and Topeka native with a passion for arts service, a commitment to equity and justice, and a strong belief in the power of art to improve community wellbeing. Bridget has 20 years of experience as a development professional, primarily in the creative sector, with clients including Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center and NOMADstudio. Becki Waugh
Programs Coordinator

Becki Waugh is a visual artist and business professional. She works to empower artists, including historically marginalized voices. She holds a master’s degree in Arts Leadership and Management from Wichita State University. Prior to her work advocating for the arts, Becki enjoyed a career in business development and management. She believes in the importance of art and culture in society and for the individual. She uses her business skills, experiences as a working artist, and her passion for the arts to help implement the many impactful programs provided by ArtsConnect.
